Prayer Requests for October

Our Deanery
Pray for:
Our Deanery Synod on 15th and for our speaker Bishop Laurie Green.

Barnehurst
Pray for:
our “Growing Together” course;
our Quiz Night on 5th October;
growth in our parish.

Belvedere All Saints
Pray for:
our monthly ‘Prayer Walk’
Laura as she leaves to train for ordination
Barbara and Liam leaving us to travel and work in the Ascension Islands.

Bexleyheath Christ Church
Pray for:
our Afro-Caribbean Harvest Supper on 12th
the Bexley Food Bank who will be receiving the gifts from our harvest festival on 13th.

Bexleyheath St Peter
Pray for:
our Dave Bilborough – Hidden Kingdom concert on 2nd November.

Bostall Heath
Pray for:
our newly baptised members who are growing in faith;
our social events that raise our profile and are fundraising opportunities;
our Bible study groups and the deepening of faith.

Slade Green
Give thanks for:
the ministry of Archdeacon Paul, who stepped down as priest in charge last month.
Pray for:
Revd Jim Bennett and all who will attend his licensing as priest in charge on the 6th.

Welling
Give thanks for:
the faith journey made by every guest on the summer Alpha courses;
the many opportunities Spark in the Park opened up for hundreds of families to have friendship, fun and a peep into the Kingdom of God.
Pray for:
the 50+ guests signed up to do the ‘Everyday Supernatural’ course this autumn; that they will be challenged to grow in faith and expectation of what God can do in their lives and circumstances;
for Laura as she leaves us as a children and families worker to take up her new post with Bromley and Bexley Archdeaconry, for us as we go through change in this area.
